I was in a diner the other night, and overheard several young women discussing growing tomatoes and such. They seemed to really have a lively conversation going, and you could tell that growing food was really important to them. I have a young child and a wife, and I know that they would both benefit greatly from me being able to provide us with fresh organic vegetables, and I have been wanting to get away from the preservatives for years now. I think the hardest part is just starting, and now that I have the plans for bathtub aquaponics on my computer, all I have to do now is pick up the holding tank and other supplies that I need to put the whole thing together. The cool part is that you only have to know how to use a screwdriver to build an aquaponics system, and a complete novice can grow fresh food.
